Traditional Fabrics: DuPont Lycra, Nylon, Polyester
Emerging Fabrics: Lace, Chiffon, Mesh
Traditional fabrics are used for highly professional swimwear styles, especially DuPont Lycra, which is preferred by high-end brands due to its superior elasticity compared to regular nylon fabrics.
DuPont Lycra: This synthetic elastic fiber is the best fabric for elasticity, capable of stretching to 4-6 times its original length. It is suitable for blending with various fibers, enhancing drape, wrinkle resistance, and durability. DuPont Lycra with chlorine-resistant properties extends the lifespan of swimwear compared to regular materials.
Nylon Fabric: Although not as sturdy as Lycra, its elasticity and softness are comparable. Currently, it is the most commonly used fabric for swimwear, ideal for mid-range products.
Polyester Fabric: This fabric offers one-way or two-way stretch. Due to limited elasticity, it is mostly used in swim trunks or two-piece swimsuits for women and not suitable for one-piece designs. It is often used for partial cutting or low-cost strategies.
Linings: High-end swimwear design prioritizes "comfort" and "fit." Linings are mostly made of nylon and must match the elasticity of the outer fabric to ensure comfort. Thus, "elasticity" is a crucial requirement when selecting accessories.
Cups: Our swimwear has incorporated professional bra cups, offering superior fitting effects compared to other brands on the market.
4. Types of Swimwear
Women's Swimwear: Generally divided into one-piece triangle, one-piece square, one-piece skirt, two-piece pants, skirt, and three-piece sets. Occasionally, four-piece sets or unique designs are added according to trends.
Adult Swim Trunks: Typically categorized into "triangle trunks," "square trunks," "four-corner trunks," "five-point trunks," "seven-point trunks," and "beach trunks." "One-piece trunks" and "diving suits" are occasionally included in designs.
Girls' Swimwear: Similar to women's swimwear, divided into "one-piece," "one-piece trunks," "two-piece sets," "three-piece sets," and "one-piece skirt."
Boys' Swim Trunks: Similar to men's swim trunks, divided into "triangle trunks," "square trunks," "four-corner trunks," "five-point trunks," and "seven-point trunks."
Washing Instructions:
Most swimwear should be hand-washed in cold water (not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius) and air-dried. Do not use soap, laundry powder, or other detergents, as they contain bleaching agents and fluorescents that can damage the swimwear's color and elasticity.
Care Instructions:
Like fashion wear, swimwear requires careful maintenance to extend its lifespan. Key points include:
A. Saltwater, chlorine, chemicals, and oils can damage elasticity. Apply sunscreen after wearing swimwear. Rinse swimwear with clean water before swimming to reduce damage and rinse again after swimming.
B. Do not store wet swimwear in bags for extended periods. Avoid placing it in car trunks to prevent fading or odors. Hand wash gently and towel dry before air drying in a shaded area.
C. Do not use washing machines, dryers, or sunlight for drying, as these can deform the material.
D. Avoid using laundry detergents or bleach, which can damage elasticity.
E. Avoid rubbing swimwear on rough surfaces to prevent wear.
F. Hot springs can damage the elasticity of swimwear due to sulfur and high temperatures, shortening its lifespan.
Folding and Storage:
Modern swimwear often features professional bra cups that can deform if not stored properly. Ideally, store them flat. If space is limited, fold the cups inward and roll the swimwear into a small square. Always fold with the right side out to prevent cup deformation.
