Understanding that everyone is unique is critical in finding the best fit for your swimsuit. We are not all made with the same cookie cutter; each one is unaique. That is why it is critical to measure yourself and then follow the size guide for each brand of swimsuit you intend to purchase. This eliminates the possibility that it will not fit and that you will have to return it.
Measuring your body is simple. Furthermore, you only have to measure yourself once in a while. Simply jot down the measurements and use them as a reference when shopping online. Check back from time to time to see if anything has changed. All body measurements can fluctuate depending on circumstances; this is completely normal.
If you feel comfortable, ask someone you trust to assist you in getting the most accurate numbers. If you decide to do it yourself, breathe deeply and relax. All you need is about 5 minutes and you're ready.
Here are the items you'll need:
A full-length mirror.
Two fabric tape measures (or a long piece of string and a standard tape measure)
A calculator
A pen or pencil
Paper

This measurement must be taken under your bust. As previously stated, please wear a supportive, well-fitting bra. Stand sideways and examine yourself in the mirror. Your bra back should be parallel to the front of your bra and the ground. Now, run the tape measure horizontally just under the bottom of your bra in the back, making sure it remains parallel to the floor.

This measurement requires you to measure your waist at its narrowest point.
Measure on bare skin. Stand in front of a full-length mirror and lean to one side, looking for the natural indentation in your torso. This represents your natural waistline. If you can't find your natural waistline, measure the lowest point of the rib cage, which is halfway around your torso.
Run the tape measure around your natural waistline, parallel to the ground. Once found, secure a ribbon or piece of string around your natural waist for the next two measurements.
Write down the number you get on your paper.
For this measurement, your stomach must be at its fullest.
Look in the mirror and place the measuring tape vertically along the side of your body. The tape measure should then be placed at the lowest point of the string or ribbon. Measure about 10 centimeters down from your waistline or the widest point of your stomach.
Make a mental note of this point, then measure horizontally around the fullest part of the abdomen, parallel to the floor. This is your upper hip.

You will need to measure your body length for this purpose.
A friend can help you measure your torso or body length. You'll probably need both tape measures for this step. Place the tape measure in the center of the top of your shoulder, where your bra strap rests. Start by draping the tape measure over your shoulder and bringing it to the front if you're doing it alone.
Run the tape measure between your legs and up to your shoulder. It is quite common to require two tape measures to complete this successfully. When you bring the tape measure to the front, you can easily see when it runs out and where to start a new tape measure.
